A creative escape from the holiday rush.
This December, join us for hands-on workshops where you’ll make something beautiful. Perfect for friends, family, or anyone craving a peaceful afternoon of creativity.
All supplies included, no experience needed.
Sundays, December 14 and 21, 2024 | 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Two workshops to choose from:
Felted Gnome Workshop
Tuck into a cozy crafting nook at Escape Maze and learn how to coax a tuft of wool into a charming felted gnome — the kind of tiny winter companion who looks right at home on a bookshelf, mantel, or mischievously tucked among the holiday décor.
In this hands-on workshop, guests will be guided through the basics of needle felting: shaping, layering, and adding winsome little details like hats, beards, and perhaps a hint of personality only you can see. All materials are provided, and our facilitator will be close by to help you master the gentle poke-poke rhythm that slowly brings your gnome to life.
Expect a relaxed, warm atmosphere where conversation drifts like snowfall and creativity feels wonderfully inevitable. You’ll leave with your own handmade gnome — sturdy, woolly, and absolutely one-of-a-kind — plus the quiet glow of having transformed simple fibres into a tiny holiday friend.
Sunday, December 14th from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm only $39.00 + hst per person

Winter Scene Painting Workshop
Settle into a calm, wintry corner of Escape Maze and let a guided paint session gently draw you into the season’s quiet magic. With snow-soft palettes, step-by-step instruction, and a welcoming atmosphere, this workshop is perfect for beginners, seasoned painters, and anyone who wants an afternoon that feels like a deep breath.
Our facilitator will lead you through creating a serene winter scene — think frosted trees, moonlit blues, or the hush of snowfall captured in a single stroke. You’ll be provided with all the materials you need, plus plenty of encouragement as your canvas slowly brightens with your own style and flourishes.
Expect an inviting space, soft music, and the slow glow of creativity taking shape. You’ll leave with a completed winter painting ready to display, gift, or tuck into your seasonal décor — and with that rare feeling of having paused long enough for something beautiful to form under your hands.
