Bring Your Own Tent Camping By the River at Otter Shore
Bring your own tent and personal sleeping gear. Camp overnight with up to four people, and each camper has their choice of 1 game per night. We’re happy to help you set it up!
Pick from any one of our escape rooms, outdoor adventure trails ,or tactical laser tag. Once you have booked your campsite, you have the choice. You can pre-book the games at the time you want to play or wait and see how you feel and have an unscheduled day. If you do not pre-book, feel free to come to the front counter when you want to play and see what is available. Each night you stay includes 1 game of your choice.
Oh — and disc golf is always included!
This spot features a full barbecue setup, including utensils, dishes, and pots. The propane tank on the barbecue will be ready to go. You will have a fresh water bottle for drinking water. We supply you with dish soap, a tea towel, a wash tub, a dust pan, and garbage and recycling bins. Remember your tent, sleeping bags, food, and clothing so you’ll be all set.
A special bench is set up for viewing the sunset over the river. Real Instagram moments. Enjoy night time s’mores around the campfire. We have your wood all ready to go. This is the picture perfect camping life without the worry or stress. Look out for Oscar the Otter who lives near the dock. Pets are allowed as long as you have them leashed and you clean up after them with poop bags.
Hiking trails and the Otonabee River frontage are free to use at the campsite. A private hot shower and flush toilet are available near the main entrance. The campsite is a 600 metre walk from the main entrance. A conveniently placed outhouse is near the campsite. We have a pavilion where you can borrow and play board games. You also have the opportunity to charge a phone, tablet or laptop there.
Escape Maze is an entertainment facility as well as a working farm. Our family lives on the farm and runs the business. Included in the camping package will be 1 game per night to play during your stay. Pick from our indoor escape rooms, outdoor trail games or tactical laser tag to play during your stay. We will set up booking of the games once the camping spot has been reserved. That’s $72 worth of games to play if it’s just 2 adults.
Park in the Escape Maze’s parking lot and come up to the front desk. We will direct you to the camp location (about a 600 metre walk). We will provide luggage and cooler drop off at your site. We will provide a map with all amenities.
